in Rossburg, Ohio from June 4-7 for the 31st edition of the 'Dirt
Late Model Dream.' The long week at the 1/2-mile, high-banked venue
started on Wednesday night with a $20,000 to win FloRacing Night
in America Series contest. Carson Ferguson, who debuted a brand-new
Longhorn Chassis, earned Fast Time honors during qualifying prior
to picking up a victory in his heat race. After starting from the
pole position in the 50-lap feature, Carson fought hard for a top
ten finish against the stout field before winding up eleventh at
the unfurling of the checkered flag.
In his $30,000 'Dirt Late Model Dream' prelim night on Thursday,
Carson grabbed the third transfer spot through his heat race and
rolled off from the outside of the front row in the 50-lap main
event, which was pushed back to Friday evening due to inclement
weather. Unfortunately, Carson caught the cushion wrong on the opening
lap and flipped violently in turns one and two. The Lincolnton,
North Carolina ace emerged unscathed from the serious incident,
but was relegated to a disappointing twenty-fifth place showing.
After switching to a back-up car for Saturday's action due to Friday's
grinding wreck, Carson started at the tail of one of the six heat
races and climbed to the ninth spot. He then picked off eight competitors
during his B-Main to place eighth, but that finish was not quite
good enough to transfer him into the $100,000 to win 'Dirt Late
Model Dream' grand finale. Complete results from the "Big E"
